Mission Statement

Our mission at S&S Success Center is to equip young people with godly principles and essential life skills, empowering them for success. Guided by the Word of God, we inspire teens to thrive spiritually, personally, and professionally.

History

S&S Success Center was founded in October 2021 as a faith-based non-profit organization dedicated to empowering at-risk youth in Texas. Our mission is to guide young people toward a brighter future by providing mentorship, support, and programs that foster spiritual, personal, and academic growth. Rooted in the precepts of the Word of God, we teach our youth that they are fearfully, wonderfully created and that The Lord’s plans for them is to prosper.

We are currently preparing to launch a social-emotional learning (SEL) program that will equip young people with essential skills in emotional regulation, self-awareness, empathy, relationship building, and responsible decision-making. This program will not only benefit the youth we serve but also strengthen the community by fostering resilience and positive interpersonal relationships.

Our dedicated Board of Directors, with extensive experience in child development, therapeutic treatment, and business management, meets monthly to oversee our operations and ensure we continue to meet the needs of the youth we serve. Through ongoing community events and outreach, S&S Success Center remains committed to making a positive impact on every young person in our care.

Services Provided

S&S Social Skills 4 Success Program

S&S Social Skills 4 Success program’s goal is to provide Social Emotional Learning to teens so that they may establish and maintain stable and healthy relationships. To maintain a healthy relationship, an individual must have competence to facilitate communication and interaction with others. Substandard social skills are prevalent in teenagers across the United States. Poor social skill behavior may consist of bullying, academic deficits, drug usage, stress, low self esteem and anxiety. S&S Success Center Social Skills Programs takes a relationship based approach to help teens recover and heal from post trauma stress. S&S will create small group field trips, role playing that will introduce real world circumstances with positive solutions, create self confidence and motivational and oral communication strategies.

What are the goals of S&S Social Skill 4 Success Program?

1. To foster social abilities that build positive interaction and meaningful relationships.

2. To teach self awareness and the importance of “To thy own self be true.”

3. To teach social awareness, being empathetic, compassionate of others feelings and thoughts. Being Aware of how you treat others.

4. To teach non-literal language, learning that non-verbal (body language) in a form of communication.

5. To teach social emotion, prudence, the ability to govern and display self control over oneself with reason.

How does S&S Social Skill 4 Success help Poor Social Skills?

S&S Success Center, Social Skills 4 Success Program, takes small group field trips that place children in different environments, surrounded by a positive peer culture. During the field trips teens are able to learn and practice appropriate social and relational skills that improve their coping ability while minimizing stress and anxiety. Field trips are coordinated for group engagement, with activities that require participants to utilize social cues and rules. At the end of each activity the teens step into group conversation where volunteers help them identify substandard social skills in exchange for effective social skills.

S&S Success Equipped to Thrive Mentorship Program

“…so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:17

The Equipped to Thrive Mentorship Program is a faith based initiative designed to empower youth aged 8 to 17 by walking alongside them on their journey to success. Through godly principles, skill-building, and community engagement, we provide the support and encouragement young people need to overcome life’s challenges. Rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ, this program nurtures spiritual, personal, and professional growth, equipping youth to thrive in every aspect of life.

Program Objectives:

Instill Godly Principles: Teach biblical values such as integrity, responsibility, and compassion to guide decision- making and personal growth.
Develop Life Skills: Provide practical training in areas like communication, time management, financial literacy, and career preparation.
Encourage Leadership: Inspire youth to lead by example in their communities, schools, and families.
Promote Community Engagement: Create opportunities for youth to give back through service projects and collaborative events.

Program Components:

One-on-One Mentorship: Youth are paired with accomplished mentors who exemplify professional success and integrity while serving as ambassadors of Christ. Mentors provide personalized guidance, encouragement, and accountability, drawing from their own life’s experience.
Faith-Based Workshops: Monthly workshops on topics such as; virtuous living, spiritual growth, and applying Biblical principles for growth and development. Includes group prayer, Bible study, and discussion on real life applications of scripture.
Community Service and Leadership Projects: Youth will participate in service projects that teach responsibility, teamwork, and the value of giving back. Leadership opportunities to plan and lead initiatives within the program.

Adolescent Counseling with a Licensed Professional Counselor
Education/Life Coach: Aids students with study habits, college preparations, and overcoming barriers to reach their goals.
Tutoring: English, Reading, Math and Science

First we ask, What is success?

Most of our young people relate success with money and/or riches.

We believe that success is far beyond monetary possessions, relating to self-achievement, self-esteem, and self-preservation. S&S Success Center defines success as; Believing in oneself, setting & achieving goals, learning new things, overcoming fear, perseverance, and small celebrating the victories along the path to success!

We believe that every child should have an opportunity for success regardless of their environment, post traumatic experiences, mental health challenges, or emotional disorders.

However, there are children in our community who are not able to learn, play, or develop. There are children in our community who are living in bondage mentally, spiritually, and/or physically.

As founders of S&S Success Center, it is our purpose to walk by faith, With our children, providing them with the skills and tools to live a purposeful, prosperous, successful life.
